Al-Kaabi: Al-Hashd Al-Sha'abi formed under Major general Qasem Soleimani’s supervision

According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency - ABNA - Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance’s secretary-general, today, on Monday August 29th, was live on News Channel and stated: Al-Hashd forces are volunteers who used to be in Resistance groups of Iraq and have fought the American occupation forces for many years.

Stressing on Major general Qasem Soleimani’s crucial role in formation of Al-Hashd, he said: Al-Hashd was formed under Major general Qasem Soleimani’s supervision and is deeply rooted in the hearts of Iraqi people.

He stated that Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba was one of the groups which contributed to the formation of Al-Hashd and said: al-Nujaba as one of the Iraqi Resistance groups has played a significant role in many liberation operations in different areas of Iraq. Also, al-nujaba soldiers have been present in Aleppo for long and have fought against the terrorist groups there.

Al-Hashd Al-Sha'abi’s commander in chief announced the liberation of Al-Khalidiya and about this city’s significance stated: the city of Al-Khalidiya in Al Anbar Governorate has been under ISIS occupation for a long time and they used to control this city. Al-Khalidiya, geographically, is filled with farms and this made the liberation operation a difficult task. After the liberation of Fallujah many ISIS terrorists escaped to Al-Khalidiya. If Al-Khalidiya remained under ISIS control, it would be a danger for Fallujah, therefore we had no other choice but to liberate this city from ISIS terrorists.

Pointing out at Mosul Liberation operation he said: liberation of all the surrounding cities of Aleppo is of huge importance for liberation of Mosul. Al-Hashd forces are preparing for Mosul operation. However the exact time of the operation is unknown but it will be in near future.

He then added: we do not oppose the presence of other forces like Peshmerga. In fact we welcome them. There was unity between us and the Peshmerga forces as we planned many operations against ISIS together.

Stressing on Al-Hashd’s opposition to presence of foreign forces in Iraq, he clarified: we demand Turkey and the U.S not to take part in Mosul Liberation operation. Their participation thwarts Al-Hashd’s activities in the operation. The U.S also seeks to thwart Al-Hashd’s participation in this operation. They very well know that Al-Hashd’s presence will ruin their plans.

Pointing out at Al-Hashd’s capabilities he added: we are capable of gaining victory over ISIS. We have managed to liberate many areas from ISIS control. The U.S’s presence will cause alot of trouble for Al-Hashd. In fact we believe any American participation in any operation will cause trouble for Al-Hashd.

Speaking on the effects of Iraqi Defense Minister’s dismissal on Mosul operation he clarified: His dismissal has no effect on the process of liberation. Al-Hashd and Iraqi police forces are present in the Mosul operation room and have no conncetion with Ministry of Defense.

Speaking on US-led coalition he said: not only have these forces gained no victory over ISIS since their formation, but also they have lost many areas to ISIS. We came to this conclusion that the U.S and the West are actually trying to reinforce ISIS and if they had not supported ISIS, we would have liberated many areas from ISIS control.

In the end he added: in order to instill fear, the Americans try to exaggerate ISIS and in addition to their secret counsil with ISIS, they deliver food and arms to them by airplanes.
