AhlulBayt News Agency - On Monday night, the Syrian security forces confiscated a large cache of weapons that were being transported from the Al-Sweida Governorate to the Al-Lijat Plateau of Dara’a.
According to a military source in Al-Sweida, the transport truck contained nearly 200 kg of explosives, 32 Israeli manufactured mines, rockets, mortar shells, and assault rifles.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and all of his contents have been seized and transferred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
The driver confessed to being a member of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) during the preliminary interrogation conducted by the Syrian security forces on Monday.
