Hamas asks Arab summit to break the Gaza siege

Hamas Movement called on the Arab summiteers, currently meeting in Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh, to break once and for all the siege on Gaza Strip that has been in effect since 2007.

Hamas Movement called on the Arab summiteers, currently meeting in Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh, to break once and for all the siege on Gaza Strip that has been in effect since 2007.

The Movement said, in a press release on Saturday, that the Arab countries currently convening in Egypt should work on lifting the siege on Gaza and open the Rafah crossing on permanent basis.

Hamas urged the Arab leaders to provide enough funds for the reconstruction of Gaza Strip and to provide protection for the Palestinian people in face of repeated Israeli aggressions.
