After years of research, a Christian Danish lady converted to Islam in the Razavi holy shrine saying Shahadatein (saying God is the greatest and Muhammad is the God’s messenger).
Simona from Denmark converted to Islam after traveling to Mashhad and going on pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.).
Converting to Islam after a lot of research and investigations, she stated, “I’m happy for being in this divine place and I think I have found my lost.”
This newly Muslim added, “In a meeting held with the manager of the non-Iranian pilgrims’ affairs of Astan Quds Razavi my questions and doubts were answered and the principles of this religion were simply explained for me.”
This 24-year-old young woman stated, “I got acquainted with a lot of Muslim friends from different countries. I communicated with them and investigated the behavior and beliefs of the Muslims then I found out that Islam is the most complete religion and includes comprehensive teachings.”
She added, “My mother taught in a Muslim school and she gave me a Qur’an in Danish language which was presented to her and I was touched by reciting this heavenly book and contemplating in its meanings. I got familiar with the religious issues and I felt that I can communicate with it. I found a fact that I searched for it for years.”
This newly Muslim asserted, “when I was reciting Qur’an and discussing with the Muslims I felt that what I learned from Christianity didn’t change me but when I studied Qur’an a great internal change happened to me i.e. what I expected is in Qur’an.”
Traveling to Mashhad with one of her friends she said, “Before traveling to Iran I studied a lot about this country and Islam and now that I visit the magnificence of this holy shrine I thank God for being in this holy place.”
Choosing Fatemeh as her name after converting to Islam, Simona added, “all human beings have divine nature and religion especially Islam is something that the human nature needs. When I got acquainted with Islam I felt that I was born again and there is no concern for me except the God’s satisfaction and reciting Qur’an tranquilizes me.”
Shedding tears she said, “Islam should be learned from Qur’an or a person who is more familiar with it.”
After expressing Shahadatein (saying God is the greatest and Muhammad is the God’s messenger) by this Danish lady some gifts including a Qur’an in English language, a book for teaching prayer, and different pictures from different views of the Razavi holy shrine were awarded to her by the office of non-Iranian pilgrims’ affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
