According to news staff of Razavi birthday celebrations, in the verge of visiting the center of exhibitions and conferences of Astan Quds Razavi we talked with Rueik Murio, a young Spanish new Muslim who has attended the Razavi holy shrine for the first time.
Stating that he was a Christian before converting to Islam, Murio said, “I worked somewhere in Valencia, Spain near a mosque of Arab Muslims and had made friend with a lot of them; they gave me a small Qur’an as a gift and told me to read it in my free times.”
“Every night I read a part of Qur’an and it was very interesting and considerable for me. I passed long hours reflecting on the meaning of the verses and after finishing Qur’an I started browsing through the Nahj al-Balaghah of Imam Ali (A.S.). After I came to believe that Islam is the super religion I converted to Islam assuredly with a deep belief”, he continued.
Concerning learning Persian language he said, “After I became a Muslim, I began studying Arabic and Islamology in Spain Valencia University; there I made acquaintance with a Muslim professor who had an Iranian wife and she taught me Persian.”
Asserting that he has already travelled to Iran, he said, “Last year I came to Qazwin for one month to study but because of my intense courses and failure in getting visa I couldn’t come to Mashhad. This time I was able to come to Mashhad through touristic visa.”
About his feeling upon entering into the holy shrine, Murio said, “As soon as I saw the dome I had a feeling that is not describable.”
Noting that the zarih of Imam Reza (A.S.) is beautiful and relaxing, he asserted, “With touching the zarih a sense of tranquility arose within me and I shed into tears unintentionally.”
“I wish God grant me the success of visiting Imam Reza (A.S.) holy shrine once more in near future”, Murio said at the end.
