American analyst Allen Roland says the present Iraq is the result of “deception” by the Bush administration and Dick Cheney, the former US vice president.

American analyst Allen Roland says the present Iraq is the result of “deception” by the Bush administration and Dick Cheney, the former US vice president.

“Iraq is the product of a meant lie and deception, starting from the Bush administration, [and] Dick Cheney specially,” Roland said, adding that the invasion of Iraq was “based on a massive deception” in which “Dick Cheney was instrumental.”

Roland, an online columnist, made the remarks in an interview on Sunday when asked about US readiness to conduct airstrikes against Takfiri militant groups in Iraq who have been fight the Iraqi government since two weeks ago and so far captured several key Iraqi cities.

The militants from the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) have been wreaking havoc in the country and committing atrocities against Iraqi people.

President Barack Obama said Washington was sending 300 “military advisers” to Iraq, while Cheney is strongly advocating for another military invasion of the country.

Roland said Cheney is not admitting the truth that the invasion of Iraq in 2003 was the result of US deception, because that would unfold the truth about the 9/11 attacks in the United States.

Cheney knows that they were all lie but he still doesn’t admit it, he said.

“Why is he not admitting it,” he asked. “Because if he did admit it,” he said, “we’d have to get to the massive lie that was behind Iraq – and that’s the 9/11 attack.”

“It’s been a spider web of deceit and deception in Iraq, and the king spider behind all of this has been Dick Cheney,” Roland stated.

“If the truth is known about Iraq, the truth is already known about that, but if Dick Cheney admit it… then we’d have to get to the big big big lie which is 9/11, which was orchestrated by the administration,” he added.
