(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Palestinian government headed by Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh renewed its demands for halting peace negotiations with Israeli occupation and refusing political pressures.
In its weekly meeting held on Tuesday, the Palestinian government in Gaza Strip called on Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to halt negotiations with occupation and to support Palestinian people's option for resistance.
On the other hand, the government denounced the Egyptian authorities' continued unjustified closure of the Rafah crossing for the 65th day since the beginning of 2014 reminding Cairo of its legal, Islamic, and nationalist responsibility towards the besieged Strip.
More than 10,000 citizens are in urgent need to travel via Rafah crossing, the government's statement said, pointing to the death of three patients, including a three-month-old child, who were prevented from traveling abroad for treatment due to the continued closure of Rafah crossing.
The government condemned the Israeli frequent break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque most recently was led by the Israeli Housing Minister, calling on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to provide real protection for the holy mosque.
Meanwhile, the statement stressed the government's full support to any agreement that would end the suffering of thousands of Palestinian refugees in Yarmouk camp in Damascus that has been subjected to a tight siege for 250 consecutive days that resulted in the death of 134 persons out of starvation.
