Pakistan: Former diplomat urges Muslim countries to follow Islamic democratic system

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Former envoy to UAE, Air Marshal (Retd) Syed Qaiser Hussain said that upcoming presidential elections in Iran show that how much democracy is strong in the Islamic Republic. He said that Iran is having a very mature and transparent electoral process. He noted that in Iran there is presidential form of government which is far better than any other form of government.Former diplomat went on to say that all candidates contesting the presidential elections Iran are intelligent and enjoy good reputation. “They would always work for the interest of Iran,” he said.The analyst added that the whole world is keenly observing the elections in Iran. “Elections are always being held on time in Iran,” he said. He was confident that Iran would continue to progress who so ever wins the elections. Expressing his views, the analyst said that high literacy rate in Iran is the main reason for huge turnout in the elections. He added that Iran is having a strong democratic process which other Muslim countries must follow. Air Marshal (Retd) Syed Qaiser Hussain added that objective of screening of presidential candidates is to make sure that a qualified person must be elected as the President of Iran. He strongly rejected the western propaganda against the screening of presidential candidates. He said that next president of Iran would work for the stability of Islamic Revolution and Islamic system in the country. “There is no place for secularism in the Islamic democracy,” he viewed. He added that Islamic democracy of Iran has become an excellent example for other countries to follow. Former diplomat was of the view that Iranian Presidential process is credible and enjoys good reputation around the world. He prayed for the stability of Islamic system in Iran. Syed Qaiser Hussain has served as acting chief of the Pakistan Air Force.
