Some 238 educational Quranic courses have been held in Seyhan District in Adana Province of Turkey.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) -  Some 238 educational Quranic courses have been held in Seyhan District in Adana Province of Turkey.

The courses have been organized by Turkey's Dianat (religious affairs) Organization from September 22.

The classes for female participants are being held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:50 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. and male students are attending the classes from 6:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m. local time.

Khalil Uzun, Turkish religious scholar stressed in a statement the importance of learning Quranic teachings and stated that it is the main duty of Quranic activists to provide people with the opportunity to get further acquainted with the elevated teachings of the Holy Quran.

He said that 81 Quranic courses held last year were highly welcomed by Seyhan citizens which resulted in an increase in the number of the courses to 238 this year.

The scholar attached great importance to dissemination of Quranic teachings and described Quran teaching as a precious and invaluable act and noted that, "Quran teachers posses a lofty status before Allah, the Almighty.
