(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The liberated prisoner, Hatem Qafisha, said that the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) violated the agreement that had ended the prisoners' “Dignity” strike that lasted for 28 days, pointing out that all prisoners have threatened to escalate their protest steps.
Qafisha told Center for Palestinian Prisoners (CPP) on Monday that the prisoners have been subjected to systematic attacks targeting their hunger strike's achievements, noting that many Israeli prison and intelligence officials had said that they would pay a heavy price for the victory achieved by the prisoners.
He pointed to the issue of the abducted PLC members in Israeli jails, condemning the PA carelessness about their issue.
Qafisha considered the MPs' abduction as a political arrest aiming to eliminate the PLC role.
Meanwhile, a recently liberated prisoner said that the prisoners' current conditions are similar to what was before the hunger strike, noting that the captive movement's leaders were pondering an escalation in protest steps.
The liberated prisoner pointed to the Israeli violations against the prisoners and their families, including searching women during family visits.
Another liberated prisoner said that the living conditions in Israeli jails have worsened after the strike, where the Israeli forces' storming of prisoners' rooms and strip searches continued unabated.
