(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Salehi made the remarks in a meeting with his Bolivian counterpart on the sidelines of the 16th heads-of-state Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran.
At the meeting, Salehi expressed satisfaction over the growing trend of bilateral relations; expressing hope that implementation of the reached agreements between the two countries would lead to further improvement of relations, particularly in economic and business fields.
Salehi meanwhile appreciated Bolivia's support for Iran's stands on international and regional issues.
The Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs David Choquehuanca, too, in the meeting expressed satisfaction over the good and still improving level of the two countries' relations and emphasized the political will of La Paz for further expansion and deepening of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said that the XVI Tehran NAM Summit is an appropriate opportunity for proximity among countries and exchanging of viewpoints on regional and international issues.
Foreign Minister Choquehuanca also noted that his affiliated government has an effective presence and active participation at the conference, expressing certainty that his country would take full advantage of the opportunity for further strengthening the bilateral relations.
The Bolivian top diplomat referred to significant international issues and focused on the Syrian crisis, pointing out that the matter can only be solved through holding dialogue among the Syrian, announcing his country's opposition against any type of foreign intervention there.
Bolivia's Foreign Minister had earlier in the day after his arrival in Tehran expressed the confidence that Tehran is able to fully use the movement's capacities.
'Our goal for attending the NAM summit is in fact promotion of peace in the world. I am confident that the NAM movement enjoys high capacities and Iran will use this capacity in its best form so that the movement could move in a direction to meet views of the member states,' said Choquehuanca on Monday morning.
He further announced that he is scheduled to meet several high-ranking Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on the sidelines of the NAM meeting to strengthen bilateral ties.
Iran has in recent years expanded friendly ties with Latin America, specially in economic, trade and industrial fields.
Since taking office in 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expanded Iran's cooperation with many Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador and Cuba.
Deputy foreign ministers and experts from the NAM member states started a meeting here in the Iranian capital on Sunday.
The meeting held at the International Conference Hall of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Broadcasting (IRIB) lasted for two days (August 26-27).
The experts meeting will be followed by the NAM's foreign ministers meeting on August 28-29. The heads-of-state summit of the bloc has been arranged for the two following days.
Iran assumed the rotating presidency of the movement from Egypt for three years during the Sunday meeting.
