(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, has affirmed that the Gaza power crisis was due to the shortage in enough fuel to operate its power station. He said on Tuesday that the Qatari gift of fuel shipment, currently stored in Egypt, was being transferred to Gaza in small quantities that are not enough to operate the power station in full.He charged the PA in Ramallah with masterminding the power crisis in Gaza to blackmail Hamas movement.Abu Zuhri pointed out that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas was still refusing to sign an official message to the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah to ask for connecting Gaza electricity with the regional network. The spokesman charged that the power crisis was a clear proof of the PA’s wish to maintain the siege on Gaza to pressure and blackmail Hamas.Abu Zuhri urged Egypt to assume its responsibilities and alleviate the Gaza power crisis, adding that the Qatari fuel is stored in Egypt and should be transferred to Gaza without bowing to pressure./129
