(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - 'The most important advice of late Imam Khomeini was unification of Muslims as it has been instructed in the Holy Qur'an. The great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran always emphasized the unity of Shia and Sunni Muslims,' the Russian Chief Mufti made the remarks in an interview on Thursday.
Referring to the fact that the recent wave of Islamic awakening in several Arab countries has been inspired by the thoughts of late Imam Khomeini, Ashirov pointed out that the wave of freedom-seeking has engulfed many Middle East countries which infuriated the enemies of Islam.
'Late Imam Khomeini invited Shia and Sunni to forget their differences and try to unite,' he added.
