(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The senior Hamas delegation led by its political bureau chairman Khaled Mishaal is to remain in Amman for three days as a guest of the Jordanian royal court.

Hamas sources said that meetings with government and popular figures would remain an option in the second day of the delegation’s visit that started on Sunday with a 90-minute meeting with King Abdullah II.

The Qatari Crown Prince, who accompanied Mishaal in the visit, left Amman back to Doha.

Mishaal and a number of Hamas political bureau members offered condolences to the family of Palestinian struggler Bahjat Abu Gharbia on Sunday evening, where Mishaal delivered a statement hailing the struggle of Abu Gharbia who spent his life in defense of the Palestine cause.

The Hamas leader said that he started his visit with a meeting with King Abdullah and turned a new page in Jordan-Hamas relations, and affirmed keenness on the interests of both Jordan and Palestine.

Mishaal met with a number of Jordanian partisan and political figures during the condolences.
