Supreme Quran Council to Be Established in Iraq

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A supreme council of Holy Quran is planned to be established in Iraq, Iyad Al-Ka’abi, a professor of Iraq’s National Quranic Sciences Center said.He said Quranic societies are being formed in all the provinces of the country and when that process is completed, a supreme Quranic council will be founded, Al-Qadir website reported.Al-Ka’abi noted that so far Quranic societies have been set up in the provinces of Al-Muthanna and Maysan, adding that other provinces would soon have their own Quranic societies.In other news, the annual conference of Iraq’s Quranic institutes kicked off in the holy city of Najaf on Monday.Ghassem Al-Hulw who heads the Quran Institute in Najaf said the conference seeks to boost Quranic activities in Iraq. /129
