(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi has met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz amid tensions between the two countries.
The visiting Iranian minister met with Nayef in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Monday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the kingdom's first national news agency, the Saudi intelligence chief Mogran bin Abdul Aziz also joined the meeting.
Tension between the countries escalated when, on October 11, the US Justice Department accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Washington, Adel al-Jubeir, with help from a man suspected of being a member of a Mexican drug cartel.
Tehran has rejected the media hype as Washington's attempt to deflect international attention from the anti-corporatism protests, which have been rocking the US since mid-September.
