Ghadir Ceremony Held in India

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir, a ceremony was held on Friday, November 11, in Lucknow District of Uttar Pradesh State, India.  The program was planned by the Organization of National Husaini Conference in the region.  According to Manish Kumar Jaiswal, secretary general of the forum, it began at 7 pm. local time with the presence of Waseem Razavi, minister of Uttar Pradesh State, Hojat-ol-Islam Mirza Jafar Abbas, and Mawlana Liaqat Reza, Seyyed Ali Qasem, Sajjad Naser Sa’eed ‘Abaqati and Ya’qub Abbas a number of Indian scholars and intellectuals.  Quran recitation by Seyyed Mohammad Nadeem, eminent Qari of the region and a speech by Mirza Mohammad Athar, head of Indian Shia Muslims Organization, on “the importance of Ghadir and healthy society” were parts of the program./129
