Al-Wefaq: killing people reflects sustained systematic repression against those demanding democratic reforms in Bahrain

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - During evening hours on Thursday 6 October 2011 security forces in Bahrain killed 16-year old youth Ahmed Jaber Al-Qattan in a quarrel in Abu Saiba area to the west of Manama. Ahmed received shoguns at his chest from a sort of weaponry used for catching birds, in turn banned by international laws. For its part, Al-Wefaq society of Bahrain contended that security forces continue to target more than half of the country’s areas on almost a nightly basis as part of collective punishment.  Worse, the punishment measures only intensify during weekends and public holidays.
