(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hazrat Sultan Grand Mosque in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, was opened on Friday, September 16. It was opened at a ceremony held on the occasion of the Independence Day in Kazakhstan. The mosque has been set up with two 91-meter high minarets opposite to Esteghlal Palace in Astana. It has been called “Hazrat Sultan” by Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of the country, in honor of Sheikh Khawja Ahmad Yasawi, Turkish Sufi, poet and founder of Yasaviya School of Thought. He has written “Ketabe Hekmat” Divan and his mausoleum is located in Turkistan region of Kazakhstan./129
