(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An explosive charge, planted in a motorbike close to a checkpoint inside Karbala city, has blown up, in a third incident over the past 24 hours, a Karbala official said on Saturday.“An explosive charge blew off in a motorbike close to an internal checkpoint leading to central Karbala on Saturday, killing one person and wounding 20 others on Saturday,” said the security source.The explosion, the third in Karbala over the past 2 days, was pinpointed against visitors of the city, celebrating the anniversary of the birthday of Imam Mohammed al-Mahdi, the 12th leading Shiite Imam, born in Samarra city, 100 km to the north of Baghdad, in the 255th Century of the Islamic Hijri Year, 8th Century AD.Karbala had witnessed the killing of 5 persons and wounding 37 others, most of them Shiite visitors from southern Iraq’s provinces./129
