Master Shoaisha admired late Master Muhammad Raf’at and imitated his style of recitation.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Master Shoaisha admired late Master Muhammad Raf’at and imitated his style of recitation.  This is according to top Egyptian reciter Abdul Fattah Taruti speaking about the late Sheikh Abolainain Shoaisha.  He added that Shoaisha completed Master Raf’at’s style of Quran recitation.  “Sheikh Shoaisha was a shining star of recitation in Egypt and the Islamic world. Many of Egypt’s reciters were influenced by him. His recitation was impressive and his voice elevated the soul.”  He said Shoaisha’s voice had such a special spirituality that it would impress the listener.  He referred to Shoaisha’s character and said his character was influenced by the Quran and its lofty teachings. “Master Shoaisha was exceptionally humble and very friendly. Although he was older than us, he behaved cordially so that we would not feel the age difference.  Taruti stressed that Sheikh Shoaisha spent most of his years serving the Holy Book and died at the age of 89 while he was full of love for the Quran and Islam.  “He was a popular figure who had warm relations with Quranic personalities. He made a lot of efforts to identify Quranic talents in Egypt and sending them to different parts of the Islamic world.”  Elsewhere in his remarks, Taruti referred to ceremonies held in Egypt in memory of the late Quran reciter and said, “A memorial service was held in Cairo on Friday with the presence of prominent reciters like Muhammad Sidiq Minshawi, Mahmud Tablawi, and Sheikh Hilmi Jamal. Another ceremony was held at Master Shoaisha’s hometown of Bila in Kafr El Sheikh province.”  He also pointed to the media coverage of Sheikh Shoaisha’s demise and said Egypt’s television and satellite networks as well as the press broadcast and published a lot of programs and articles about Shoaisha’s life and achievements in the last few days, because he was an eminent Quran reciter who would never be forgotten. “Egypt’s Quran radio has also aired special programs featuring Master Shoaisha.”  Sheikh Abolainain Shoaisha passed away on Thursday, June 23in Cairo./129
