(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A total of 50 poems will be selected from the submitted works and their poets will read their works during the congress, the secretary of the event mentioned during a press conference on Sunday morning.
The non-competitive festival will be held from November 2 to 4, 2011 in the southern Iranian province of Bushehr, he mentioned.
He said that the province was selected due to its prominence in national and Islamic resistance against foreign forces.
The festival has two main sections. One section is dedicated to reciting poetry by the participants and another section will focus on academic articles on Islamic resistance submitted to the secretariat, Esbati added.
He also mentioned the programs planned for the sideline sections that include meetings on different aspects of Islamic resistance literature during the festival.
Holding a review session to be attended by students and academics on poetry composed on Islamic resistance is another program of the sideline section of the congress, he mentioned.
He called the cultural interaction between literati who are active in the realm of Islamic resistance as one of the main aims of the festival.
Translation of works written in the Islamic resistance genre from Persian into other languages and vice versa is one of the activities that the event promotes, he said.
Scholars Hossein Esrafili, Javad Mohaqqeq, and Parviz Beigi-Habibabadi are some of the members of the academic committees of the festival, he added.
Esbati also talked about the concept of “resistance” as a global term, which is a meaningful concern for all nations, and said that the articles will be published in a book.
The festival is cosponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mostazafan Foundation and Revayat-e Fat’h Institute.
