(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Imam Khomeini (RA) was a great character whose actions were all based on the teachings and principles of the Holy Quran.
This is according to Muhammad Taqi from Burma who was in Iran attending ceremonies and programs marking the 22nd demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini, great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said the greatest legacy of Imam Khomeini was showing to Muslims the fact that victory can be achieved despite all the problems and impediments through following the Divine teachings.
He reiterated that Muslims and especially Shi’ites who follow the path of Imam Khomeini (RA) should have this in mind and make it their commitment to act upon Quranic teachings in everything they do.
Muhammad Taqi regarded Imam Khomeini’s leadership before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution as unique and said, “Imam Khomeini led the revolution to victory with courage and wisdom and safeguarded it against dangers and threats with prudence and judiciousness.
He stressed that Imam Khomeini’s leadership should be a model for all Muslim leaders across the world.
He then referred to the effects of the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini (RA) and said, among other things, it elevated the status of Shia Muslims in the world.
Muhammad Taqi also said Imam Khomeini’s character was a source of inspiration not only for Shi’ites but all Muslims in the world.
June 4 marked the 22nd anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) demise.
