WASSIT, Iraq (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Two wanted men were arrested on Tuesday by police forces in northern Wassit, according to Wassit police chief.
“Policemen this evening arrested two al-Qaeda wanted men during a raid in al-Suweira district, north of Kut, for implementing armed attacks against civilians and security forces,” General Hussein Abdulhadi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Kut, the capital of Wassit, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad.
