(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Imam Musa Sadr’s cultural and Quranic activities were based on his deep understanding of the Holy Book, an academic board member of the Islamic Culture and Thought Center said.
Speaking Monday, April 25, at the fifth session of the forums featuring Imam Musa Sadr’s Quranic studies, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Zu’elm added that Imam Musa Sadr was a Quran-thinking personality.
“If one can fully align his life with the Quranic view of man and the world so that all his decisions and deeds are in line with Quranic principles, this individual can be regarded a Quran-thinking person,’ he explained.
Hojat-ol-Islam Zu’elm added that by introducing the Quranic character of such eminent figures as Imam Musa Sadr, the society, especially the youth, will be further acquainted with the way they incorporated Quranic teachings in their life.
Referring to Imam Musa Sadr’s Quranic works, he said the prominent cleric was not known as a Quran commentator in Hozeh (seminaries). “But since he was a student of the great Quran commentator late Allameh Tabatabaee, he was well-acquainted with the interpretation school of Allameh and followed that school.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Zu’elm went on to say that while in Lebanon, Imam Musa Sadr strived to boost the educational level of Lebanese Shia youth based on Quranic teachings.
Mussayib An-Naeemi, editor-in-chief of Al-Wifaq daily was another speaker at the session who stressed that Imam Musa Sadr was the founder of the Islamic movement in Lebanon and restored the identity of the country’s Shiites.
The fifth session of the forums featuring Imam Musa Sadr’s Quranic studies was held at the Iranian Quran News Agency in Tehran.
