76665 Quran learners participated in specialized courses of Quranic sciences held across Tehran Province last Iranian year (March 2010-March 2011).
The courses were organized with the cooperation of Islamic Development Organization’s Dar-ol-Quran as well as 318 Quranic centers in the province.
This is according to Mahdi Nadi head of the province’s Dar-ol-Quran Center said that there are currently 5 training courses for pre-school teachers underway all over the province in which 110 teachers are participating.
He expressed hope that such courses would be organized more widely throughout the new year.
Referring to two teachers’ training courses on Tajweed rules held previous year, he added that the 44 teachers attended the courses.
He also referred to the memorizers’ national examination held in Tehran last year with Tehran having the most participants among the 150 memorizers in the categories of memorization of 10 Juzes (sections), 20 Juzes and the entire holy Quran.
“86 educational courses of Quran recitation and 135 ones on Quranic concepts were also held last year in which 2150 and 3375 learners participated respectively,” he went on to say.
Mr. Nadi further pointed to a specialized course of Quran interpretation titled “Bayenaat” which was held in 31 rounds during the holy month of Ramadan for 1240 participants.
“Nour-al-Rahman” was another similar course of Quran interpretation which was organized in 4 rounds with 200 participants, he further said.
