A statement issued by the SIIC said, "Amabassador Shaheen acquainted Hakeem with amendments that will take place on the Constitution during the next six months and the election of a new President. He asserted that Egypt is committed toward hold the Arab Summit in Baghdad on time and will participate in a high level delegation."
For his part, Hakeem expressed that he highly values the level of discipline shown by the Egyptian armed forces in dealing with the events that took place in Egypt, considering Egyptians behavior reflect civilized way of protest giving lessons to the Arab and Islamic public opinion.
He stressed trade cooperation between the two countries and the necessity to consolidate relations between Iraq and Egypt in the service of both countries' people.
