Wearing black dress, the mourners had come from far flung and remote area, some of them covering ten km distance on foot because of closure of roads due to heavy snowfall. They gathered at Public Park and joined mid-day prayers after "Nawha Khwani" and matam (beating chests).
Later the mourners reached Islamia School, Kargil, after marching through different streets.
However, before dispersing the mourners raised anti US and Israel slogans and expressed their solidarity with the people of Palestine.
