(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The participants in the 85th session of the Conference of Supervisors of Palestinian Affairs in the Arab Host Countries on Thursday stressed the Arab identity of the occupied Syrian Golan being an integral part of the Syrian land, expressing condemnation of the Israeli occupation of Golan.

They called, at the end of the Conference held at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo, on the international community to exert efforts to halt the Israeli settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and Golan and implement the relevant international resolutions particularly the Security Council Resolutions No. 465 for 1980 and No. 497 for 1981 which consider the settlement activities invalid and illegitimate.

The Conference condemned and rejected the recently issued racial decisions of the Israeli Knesset regarding the situation of Jerusalem and conducting referendum before any withdrawal from Jerusalem and Golan.

The participants also stressed the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland, the core of the Palestinian cause, rejecting Israel's call for recognition as a "Jewish State".

They highlighted the importance of holding the first international conference on defending and protecting Jerusalem early February in Qatar to confront Israel's attempts to Judaize the city and fake its history.

The conference called upon the Arab Group at the UNESCO to pursue efforts to face Israel's attempt to include Jerusalem into World Heritage List as a Jewish site.

The participants also called on the international community to exert pressure on Israel to lift its siege on Gaza Strip and allow in the necessary building materials to reconstruct the Strip after the Israeli aggression and release all the Arab and Palestinian prisoners held in the Israeli jails.
