US Pullout from Iraq Consolidates Iran-Hezbollah Ties

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Chairman of the Israeli Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Shaul Mofaz warned that U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and consequently from the region allows Iran to strengthen its ties with Hezbollah and Hamas.
 
"The United States' withdrawal will allow Iran or the Revolutionary Guards to enter he state, strengthening the bond between Iran, Syria, Hizbullah and Hamas," Mofaz told a conference at Tel Aviv University on Tuesday.
 
He also discussed relations with Turkey, saying "Israel and its policy are pushing (Turkish PM Recep Tayyip) Erdogan into the hands of Syrian and Iran."
