(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The religious leader endorsed the statement of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemning Israel for committing genocide in Palestine.
The President made the remarks during an address to the members of Asia's first humanitarian aid convoy en route to the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Gaza-bound aid convoy will travel from Iran to Turkey and from there to Syria. It is then scheduled to head to Egypt, from where it will seek to enter the beleaguered strip.
“President Ahmadinejad has made an extremely significant statement”, Hafiz Hussian Ahmad said.
Slamming the role of the United Nations former Senator said that global body has been under the pressure of U.S. He said Israel has been killing innocent people of Palestine and still the world has not come up with a strong reaction against Israel.
“No doubt Palestine has become a global issue”, he opined.
The religious leader strongly criticised the United Nations (UN) for its dual role, saying the organisation had different standards of justice for Muslim Ummah.
“U.S. has been backing all criminal acts of Israel”, he said.
Politician was of the view that Muslim Ummah must express unity and determination that is the only way to deter the aggression of Israel.
Hafiz Hussian Ahmad went on to say that the leaders of Muslim Ummah should symbolize the wishes of their people.
Expressing his views the religious leader added that peace in Middle East can be achieved only if the issue of Palatine is resolved.
“Israel has blocked Gaza Strip and not allowing any country to help the suffering people”, he said.
Israel imposed a blockade on Gaza in June 2007, even preventing basic necessities from entering the territory. Tel Aviv went further to launch an all-out onslaught on the coastal sliver in December 2008-January 2009, killing more than 1,400 Palestinians.
Hafiz Hussian Ahmad demanded the U.N. to play its due role and take cognizance of such gross Human rights violation in Palestine.
He was of the opinion that U.S. has been committing Human Rights violations in different parts of the world and Western countries are not taking any actions against such acts.
