An exhibition of Quranic manuscripts is being held in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An exhibition of Quranic manuscripts is being held in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It has been mounted at Al-Ghazi Khasro Beik Mosque on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha.

Quranic manuscripts in different shapes and sizes are on display at the exhibit.

Some of them have been written in gold and some have silver cover, many dating back to a few hundred years ago.

Bosnia has been home to many famous Islamic calligraphers including Jamaleddin Astarabadi and Sharrif Afandi who have created masterpieces of Quranic and Islamic calligraphy.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Muslim country in southeastern Europe.
