Sheikh Eid bin Mohamed Al Thani Charity Institute in Qatar plans to hold a Quranic-Islamic studies course with the cooperation of the Scientific Center for Teaching of the Quran and Sunnah in Saudi Arabia.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Sheikh Eid bin Mohamed Al Thani Charity Institute in Qatar plans to hold a Quranic-Islamic studies course with the cooperation of the Scientific Center for Teaching of the Quran and Sunnah in Saudi Arabia.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Sa’I, in charge of scientific programs of the center, said the two-year course will begin from November 14 and participants will attend the classes from Sundays to Wednesdays weekly.

“Interpretation of the Quran, Quranic sciences, Tajweed, religious principles and Hadith, theology (Kalam), jurisprudence (Fiqh), grammar of Arabic language, Fiqh principles, Hadith sciences, prophetic tradition (Seerah), religions and schools of thoughts, principles of propagation and modern schools of thoughts will be the main subjects of the course,” he added.

Khalil bin Mohammad Al-Zir, director of the charity institute said that registration for the course has started and participants will be given ‘Islamic Studies’ certificates upon successfully completing the program.

“The course will be held under the supervision of the Faculty of Dawa and Fundamentals of Religion at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah,” the director said.

Cultural programs such as religious meetings and lectures and contests on memorization of religious texts will be held on the sidelines of the course.
