(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Islamic Development Organization held a mourning ceremony in the holy city of Qom to mark the anniversary of Imam Sadeq (AS) martyrdom.
Hojat-ol-Islam Salavati, an official with the organization, delivered a speech at the ceremony held on Sunday evening.
“Among our infallible Imams’ distinguishing characteristics are two facts: first, they were never influenced by their surroundings or the society they lived in. Secondly, they always sacrificed their own interests in favor of sacred Islamic purposes.”
“All of the Imams even in critical circumstances continued to fight in the path of Allah.
“Although his home was several times invaded by agents of the regime of the time, Imam Sadeq (AS) resisted bravely and did not give up fighting for promotion of Islamic values,” he added.
Hojat-ol-Islam Salavati stressed the way Shia Imams behaved during their whole blessed lives and urged the people of today to follow them by taking them as role model.
