Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Entertainment events began at various locations in Doha yesterday as part of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Programmes organised by City Center Doha and Hyatt Plaza as well as Arabic drama performances at Qatar National Theatre drew large crowds.
Residents also flocked to Doha Zoo, the Corniche and parks across Doha.
City Center is hosting ‘Planet of the Dolls,’ about the adventures of Captain Lauren and a band of dolls who go up against large animated viruses to bring peace to the planet.
During their adventures, Captain Lauren and the Dolls travel to new and wondrous worlds including a Red Planet, a Planet of Birds, a Planet of Clowns, and a Green Asteroid.
The show, which features around 150 dolls played by dozens of actors, has a great deal of interaction with the public.
Children in the audience were asked to join Captain Lauren in the search for a new home among the stars.
City Center is also organising interactive games for the audience. The show runs until September 17, from 7pm to 9pm.
City Center is also offering a range of shopping promotions via its numerous outlets.
At Hyatt Plaza the newly-renovated Jungle Zone is the centre of attraction, with enhanced games and the addition of a mezzanine floor.
The daily shows at the over 3,500sqm theme park will run until September 17 from 1pm to 10pm.
An acrobat and juggling show runs by from 1pm to 1.30pm, followed balloon distribution from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, magic show from 2.30pm, and dance show by mascots from 3.30pm to 4pm.
The series of events at Jungle Zone will be repeated at 5pm and 8pm.
At the Food Court, hour-long plays Habboob Fel Bustan and Nasseh Wa Assdikaa Al Murur are running alternately from 5.30pm.
Competitions for children, games and prize distribution will take place between 7.30pm and 8.30pm at the Food Court.
Hyatt Plaza’s outdoor area, near the Food Court, has been converted into a playground for the Eid holidays with a trampoline and a host of games to engage children.
