Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah met with Speaker Nabih Berri on Sunday night in the presence of their political assistants Hussein Khalil and Ali Hassan Khalil. Sayyed Nasrallah and Berri discussed latest developments in the country and the region, in particular Baabda summit when Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad visited Beirut and met President Michel Sleiman in a bid to calm the political situation. Both sides also hailed the "historic" visit of Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, who arrived in Lebanon last Friday, to South Lebanon as an expression of support for the Lebanese army, people and the resistance. The conferees condemned Israeli threats to Lebanon which target the unity of the people and the state. They also slammed daily Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace in contravention of Security Council resolution 1701. In addition, Sayyed Nasrallah and Berri followed up on the recent arrests of suspected Israeli collaborators in Lebanon, lauded Lebanese security agencies for the arrest of several spies and called for maximum punishment against all the spies. The two sides emphasized on the strategic ties between Hezbollah and Amal movement in face of all the local and foreign problems. They also stressed on the ongoing coordination in all the situations whether political or social issues or others.
