The Najaf Investment Commission held on Wednesday a conference to discuss problems facing investments in the province and to find a mechanism to attract investors in different sectors.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), The Najaf Investment Commission held on Wednesday a conference to discuss problems facing investments in the province and to find a mechanism to attract investors in different sectors.

The conference, attended by Aswat al-Iraq news agency, witnessed presentation of a number of housing projects and difficulties facing this sector.

The conference tackled also ways of attracting investors and the importance of activating the amended investment law as well as the role of private sector in the development of the province.

“There are so man investment opportunities in Najaf but the routine and unnecessary measures discourage investors,” Governor Adnan al-Zerfi said in his opening speech.

Najaf lies 160 km south of Baghdad.
