Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Organized as part of celebrations marking Doha, cultural capital of Arab World 2010, the exhibition features calligraphy works by Iranian calligrapher Khalil Nodehi Moqaddam, know as Aref Gilani.
Abdollah Sohrabi and Juan Antonio Irnandiz Iranian and Venezuelan ambassadors to Doha, as well as Hamad bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Kuwari Qatar’s Minster of Culture were present at the opening ceremony.
65 Quranic calligraphy works by Mr. Moqaddam will be on display at the exhibition until April 27. The works are in 60 Arabic scripts used since the advent of Islam including Qirwani, Andalusi, Fatemi, Saljuki, Hijazi, Qaznavi, and Ayubi.
The Iranian calligrapher has previously exhibited his works in Tehran and Kuwait City as well.
