Iran Executes Two MKO Terrorist Members After Supreme Court Upholds Verdict

Abulhassan Montazer and Vahid Bani Amerian, two terrorist members from the anti-Iran terrorist group Mojahedin-e Khalq, MKO, who were carrying out missions assigned by the aggressive enemy, were hanged after being tried and having their sentences upheld by Iran's Supreme Court.

According to the Iranian Judiciary's news agency, Mizan, the members of this armed cell of the MKO had conducted numerous terrorist acts and bombings in Tehran under the guidance of the enemy's operatives.Directed by the group's handlers, these individuals formed an armed unit and, in line with the group's objectives to undermine national security, surveyed sensitive locations, carried out harassment operations against key state facilities and public places, and fired launchers. Abulhassan Montazer and Vahid Bani Amerian were members of this cell and were arrested while attempting to carry out a terrorist operation, along with several launcher weapons.According to case files, items related to terrorist operations involving explosive launchers were discovered from team hideouts used by MKO elements.Abulhassan Montazer used funds provided by MKO handlers to secure a hideout and pay rent. The rented properties were used as workshops for manufacturing launchers and improvised bombs.The convicted individual also learned how to make improvised bombs from a group handler nicknamed "Engineer Reza." He proceeded to manufacture bombs and, with the help of other team members, and detonated the devices. Manufacturing launchers was also among his activities.Vahid Bani Amerian, another member of the MKO's organizational cell in this case, was arrested alongside Abulhassan Montazer while attempting to launch projectiles, with four launchers in their possession.

The convicted individual also participated in attacks on various locations inside Iran.Abulhassan Montazer and Vahid Bani Amerian were tried on charges of directly engaging in numerous terrorist acts and bombings under the direction of the MKO terrorist group; membership in a rebel group; colluding and conspiring to commit crimes against domestic security through intentional communication with MKO handlers; committing effective harassment actions in support of the MKO terrorist group with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic of Iran's system; membership in the MKO terrorist group to disrupt national security; and forming an armed faction or assembly to undermine national security.After the verdict was issued, the case was referred to Iran's Supreme Court following the defendants' appeals. Based on the opinion of the Supreme Court justices, the defendants' appeals were rejected. The execution of these two members of the MKO terrorist group was carried out on Saturday morning.
