IAEA former chief: Assassinations do not force Iranians to surrender

The former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has highlighted the resolve of Iranians in face of enemies stressing the resolve of Iranians despite recent assassination of officials.

ABNA24 - The former chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has highlighted the resolve of Iranians in face of enemies stressing the resolve of Iranians despite recent assassination of officials.

Mohamed El-Baradei, the former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, wrote on the social network X: " When you believe that great force bends the knees and that assassinations lead to surrender, you are unfortunately ignorant of the culture and beliefs of the Iranian people.

He further noted that such people know nothing of Iranians’ thoughts and beliefs citing years of interaction with many Iranian officials.

He also addressed the attempted assassination of Dr. Kamal Kharrazi and the martyrdom of his wife in another post, calling that further evidence that “these people are warmongers and have no interest in peace, but rather seek an illusory hegemony.”

The comments by the former IAEA chief comes more than a month after the US-Israeli aggression targeted different cities across Iran assassinating multiple top officials among them the Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The US-Israeli atrocities have also targeted the residential buildings, civilian centers, energy infrastructures and industrial centers of the country killing scores of civilians and inflicting damage to the structures.
