Iran Army says drone, missile operations conducted from dawn to noon Tuesday

The Islamic Republic of Iran Army carried out drone and missile operations against the criminal US-Israeli regime’s positions from early Tuesday morning until midday, according to an official statement by the Army.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Republic of Iran Army carried out drone and missile operations against the criminal US-Israeli regime’s positions from early Tuesday morning until midday, according to an official statement by the Army.

In its eighth statement issued on Tuesday, the Army said offensive drone and missile strikes began at dawn, targeting enemy positions and forces.

According to the declaration, the Navy launched surface-to-surface missiles at vessels and bases in the region, while combat and exploding drones operated by the Army’s ground, air, and naval units struck military sites in Israeli-occupied territories and at the United States’ Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

The statement emphasized that both offensive and defensive operations against the aggressor enemy are continuing with full force.

In a separate announcement, the Army said air defense units had intercepted and destroyed seven advanced enemy drones in various parts of the country.

The drones were identified as MQ-9, Heron, Hermes, and Orbiter models and were downed over Tabriz, Tehran, Isfahan, Khorramabad, and Bushehr.

With the latest interceptions, the total number of drones shot down since the start of the conflict has reached 29, the Army added.

Joint US-Israeli military aggression began on February 28, 2026, following the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, despite ongoing indirect US-Iran talks. Analysts see this as proof of US preference for military force over diplomacy. In response, Iran executed targeted, proportionate self-defense strikes against Israeli positions and US regional bases, warning that further aggression will face a harsher response.
