OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, the head of the higher Islamic authority, has warned of messing with the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA), Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, the head of the higher Islamic authority, has warned of messing with the holy Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Sabri in a statement on Tuesday held the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) fully responsible for any tampering with the holy Mosque.

The Sheikh was commenting on the reported dream by one of the Jewish rabbis in the 18th century about the establishment of the "Ruined Synagogue" in the Old City of Jerusalem by 17/3/2010 which would mean the start of building the alleged temple.

He said that dreams and prophecies do not prove a right and do not give the Jews any right to the Aqsa Mosque, as they are mere imaginations that lack any proof or verification.

The authority chief said that the IOA established a new synagogue in Jerusalem and called it the "Ruined Synagogue" to materialize the alleged prophecy, which is in fact a premeditated plan to attack the Aqsa and justify the establishment of the alleged temple.

The Aqsa Mosque is the sole right of one and a half billion Muslims worldwide, the Sheikh underlined, adding that the Aqsa is part of the Islamic creed and belief.

He said that the Aqsa guards and Muslim worshipers would continue to defend the Aqsa Mosque in face of any danger, emphasizing that he Aqsa was and would remain a red line.

Sabri asked the Arab and Islamic regimes to assume their duties toward Jerusalem and the Aqsa especially at the upcoming Arab summit in Libya next month.
