Anbar Police arrested Al Qaeda senior official Hamoud Jemaa Abdul Mahlawi after he crossed into Iraq from Syria across Al Walid border passage, Anbar Police said.
Intelligence sources affirmed the entrance of Al Mahlawi into Iraq across Syria after he flew the country in 2004 following Al Falluja second battles, Anbar Police spokesman Major Rahim Zeben told Alsumaria News.
Al Mahlawi was transported to the Interior Ministry in Baghdad for investigation on crimes he committed including killing police and army members and bombing security forces houses in Anbar, Majar Zeben said.
