Jasim Shahin, media advisor to Divaniya governor, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency that the city’s Islamic and cultural centre held the festival at Al-Hurriya conference hall.
It was held with the presence of poets from Divaniya and neighboring provinces. They read out eloquent Arabic poems on the virtues of Imam Hussein (AS).
Mr. Shahin added that on the sidelines of the two-day festival there were two exhibitions of artistic and cultural handicrafts.
