“The key to Palestine problem is only and only the idea of the Islamic Republic system. All Palestinians should go to polls and decide their political system,” said Ayatollah Khatami in his second Friday prayers sermon.
He said, “Our support for Palestine and noble Quds is on two bases: Muslim world is a united Ummah and we are supporters of the oppressed.”
The World Quds Day issue will bring Palestine out of isolation, he added.
“The (late) Imam (Khomeini) raised it as an Islamic issue, believing that Zionists’ confrontation against Palestinians is confrontation against Islam,” said the cleric.
He then said Zionists are doing their best to prevent the rallies be held in a good manner but contrary to their expectation, the World Quds Day rallies are underway in Iran and abroad more gloriously than ever.
