AhlulBayt News Agency - The ISIS launched another offensive at the Al-Siin Military Airport on Wednesday in order to recapture the initiative in the Dumayr countryside of rural Damascus.
ISIS began the assault by launching a VBIED (vehicle borne improvised explosive device) at the checkpoint outside the Al-Siin Airport; however, it was destroyed by the Syrian Armed Forces before it could reach its intended target.
Following the failed VBIED attack, ISIS stormed the Syrian Army’s defenses, resulting in a short battle that ended with the terrorist group’s withdrawal from the Al-Si’in Airport’s vicinity.
According to a military source in Damascus City, the Syrian Armed Forces killed a total of 13 ISIS terrorists, while also destroying two armored vehicles at the Al-Si’in Airport.
