Kurdish Peshmerga forces killed an ISIS insurgent to foil his suicide attack before reaching the target.
A source form Peshmerga forces said that an IS suicide bomber attempted on Thursday overnight to attack the Peshmerga frontline near Daquq district in southern Kirkuk, but he was spotted before reaching his target.
Peshmerga took the suicide bomber down while he was attempting to sneak into Peshmerga territories in the dark of the night.
IS militants previously several times carried out suicide attacks against Peshmerga forces in souther Kirkuk frontline, but constantly failed to bring serious damages to the Kurdish forces.
Ethnically-diverse city of Kirkuk, where Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen live, has been an attraction for the terrorist group due to its strategic characteristics and rich oil fields.
