AhlulBayt News Agency - Foreign Communication Division belonging to Department of Religious Affairs in Imam Ali Holy Shrine celebrated the convertor Dr. Amin Musbah al-Draini, who is one of al-Azhar Sheikh, and announced his conversion to Shiites at the age of seventy-three years.
The head of Foreign Communication Division Sheikh Thaer al-Baghdadi, said to the media center of imam Ali Holy Shrine "we received Sheikh Dr. Amin Musbah al-Draini in Imam Ali Holy Shrine. Sheikh Dr. Amin Musbah al-Draini is one of the scholars in al-Azhar and Sunnis. Sheikh Dr. Amin Musbah al-Draini announced his conversion to Shiites at the age of seventy-three years after four years of studying for the Shiite doctrine."
Sheikh Thaer al-Baghdadi added "Dr. Draini worked as Islamic Preacher for forty years in United States of America – California, where he opened a lot of centers and mosques. He has a lot of followers and he is Imam of congregation Pray of Los Angeles (one of the largest cities in the United States)."
For his part, Sheikh Dr. Draini said when he entered Imam Ali Holy Shrine, his eyes filled with tears and said (I want to stay next to Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
