AhlulBayt News Agency - The Syrian Arab Army’s 48th Special Forces Regiment – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and Syrian Marines – recaptured the strategic mountaintop of Jabal Al-Qal’at in Jabal Al-Akrad (Kurdish Mountains) after a violent battle with the extremist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda) and Jaysh Al-Turkmen.

With the recapture of Jabal Al-Qal’at on Monday afternoon, the Syrian Armed Forces have once again secured the imperative village of Kinsibba in Jabal Al-Akrad, while also pushing the extremist rebels back towards the M-4 Highway (Aleppo-Latakia Highway).

In addition to their gains at Jabal Al-Qal’at, theSyrian Armed Forces were able reverse all of the gains made by the extremist rebels just 24 hours prior to their counter-offensive.
