AhlulBayt News Agency - Visiting Shah-e Cheragh Holy Shrine in Shiraz, a German Christian converted to Islam and became a Shia Muslim.
Getting familiar with the fundamental principles of Islam, accepting the oneness of God, prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as well as confessing to the Guardianship of Imam Ali (AS), Michael Schick converted his profession of faith and became a Shia Muslim.
Mr. Schick converted to Islam in a ceremony held with the presence of Chief Custodian and Trustee of the Astan Shah-e Cheragh Ayatollah seyyed Ali Asghar Dastgheyb.
Ayatollah Dastgheyb congratulated conversion of the German Christian to religion of Islam.
The ayatollah referred to the Daesh (ISIL) criminal acts, adding that their actions are against real Islamic teachings.
Shāh Chérāgh is a funerary monument and mosque in Shiraz, Iran, housing the tomb of the brothers Ahmad and Muhammad, sons of Imam Mūsā al-Kādhim and brothers of ‘Alī ar-Ridhā. The two took refuge in the city during the Abbasid persecution of Shia Muslims.
